Chunky knits on repeat

Sweater weather is here to stay and I could not be more excited about it!  A quality knit is my absolute favorite piece of clothing {more on this in an upcoming post}.  Second on my list is jeans…Levi’s of course.#levis

You all know I like to keep things simple in style.  I chuckle to think that learning to embrace the simplicity that I’ve always been naturally drawn to required a bunch of trial, error and frustration.  I wonder why I convinced myself, back in the early Classy Ever After days, that the classic simplicity I love would be viewed as way to dull to feature on a blog.  Consequently, I employed colors that didn’t work for me, over accessorized, avoided concepts I’ve come to adore such as uniforms and signatures.  Oh, the exquisite pieces I could purchase with the funds I waisted trying to avoid what I should have embraced.  Live and learn, right!

LESSON:  BE YOU.  DRESS YOU.  TRUST YOUR INSTINCT.  EMBRACE WHAT YOU LOVE.  Then you will shine.

Suffice it to say, one of my winter uniforms consists of a luxurious knit paired with a pair of Levi’s and a black or cognac shoe & bag combo.  I love a minimalist take on this simple ensemble, and I almost always choose neutral hues.  Although, I have purchased two red knits this fall.  Woo hoo.  I was so drawn to the red that I could help myself.

What knits are you taken with this season?

Note:  the jeans I’m wearing in this post are Levi’s 501s in California Rhythm was.  DIY raw hem.   My knit is by H&M premium.  A few sizes left in grey and Burgundy.
