As many of you know, I’m prone to frequent closet purges. I like to keep a streamlined wardrobe, and I’m quite certain that there is no better crash course in style than starting a blog about it. The opportunity to evaluate our own full body shots is something I would compare to an uncomfortable life lesson or a tough love experience. Not pleasant but highly effective. What I’m getting at here is that many pieces have been donated as a result. Can you relate?
This lace top, though, has been with me for quite some time! It fits all my wardrobe criteria…it is simple, it can be worn with jeans or skirts & trousers, on its own or under a blazer. This little gem is as versatile as it gets. I know a piece is special when it makes the cut purge after purge.
The 501s. I have a bit of an obsession with this pair, I think it is the distressing especially on the hem. These photos were taken a few weeks back when I was still breaking these babies in. Usually I have to wash and dry them several times before I’m completely happy with the fit and the feel of the denim. If you haven’t yet treated yourself to a pair of original Levi’s 501s you may find this interesting and helpful. There is absolutely no stretch at all so, for me, this is not a pair of jeans I want skin tight. Also, they are best when washed and tumble dried so if you are in between sizes I recommend the larger size. You want a little room to allow for shrinkage. They are easy to wear, easy to launder and they last forever.
sorry ladies! It seems the link below for the denim I’m wearing isn’t working. You can shop the exact pair here.
