hats off to simplicity & turning 40

Well,  it is official.  I’m 4o.  I’m makes much more sense to embrace it, than it does to fight it.  If I channel that energy into staying fit, eating clean, taking care of my skin, then my 4os will be fabulous.   Classy Ever After is the perfect place to document my 40s by sharing my style & beauty tips and my “young at heart” philosophies.  Long hair is gorgeous at any age, and there is nothing wrong with rockin’ a pair of cut off Levi’s if we take care of our bodies!  It is not about age, Ladies.  It’s about taking the best possible care of ourselves so we can enjoy our style at any age.

It has been a whirlwind over here the past month or so.  School vacation last week, new puppy, hubby in the office every day.  Whew.  I swear some days the gym and a trip to the grocery store takes up all the time I have before the school bus arrives back at home.  I have no idea how working moms do it.  Kudos to all of you!

Of course blogging (a hobby not a job) gets pushes aside at times.  Since quality over quantity is my approach to everything, I’m ok with this.  I would rather bring you fewer better posts packed with inspiration and useful information.

Today I’m sharing the look I styled for an afternoon & evening out with hubby to celebrate my bday.  It was a rainy day so the hat was a must!  We strolled around Providence Place Mall for a couple of hours which was a blast for me since I always shop online and never really get to see everything in person.  I stopped by Nordstrom (YSL & Jo Malone), picked up my Peonies & Blush Suede just in time for my bottle to run out.  Then we went for a quiet dinner, and cocktail or two.  Two is about my limit if I want to look and feel my best.

I hope everyone had a wonderful weekend!  Thank you for stopping by today and for your support as always.
