A Weekend in Washington D.C.

As I was organizing photos & cleaning up my laptop, I stumbled on these photos from our trip to DC in November.  Before my lengthy break, I mentioned this trip and that I wanted to share a packing post with you.  I decided to combine some packing photos with snaps from our time in the city.

Our time in DC was one of my favorite trips I've taken in a long time.  This surprised me because I'm not a history buff or someone who follows political matters closely.   I do, however, have a profound respect for our soldiers (past & present), law enforcement, and all the heroes who put their lives on the line for the good of others on a daily basis.  I absolutely loved being in a place where most people seemed so full of respect for each other and for our country.  AMEN.

If you haven't had a chance to visit, I highly recommend it.  For those of you who live in DC or near, your city is truly amazing!

  3. I've been to D.C. twice, once in an 8th grade school trip, in which we visited all the historic sites, such as the Lincoln Monument and another time for a conference in college. It truly is a wonderful and historic city for our nation. As for your outfit, I love the look of the striped top worn with the blazer and sneakers, it creates the perfect balance of casual taken up a notch. I also adore your leather duffle bag! Thanks for sharing and I hope you have a wonderful week ahead, my beautiful friend!

  5. I would love to visit Washington one day! I'm not much of a history/political buff either, but I totally relate to loving the troops and I know I would love the experience. That J Crew blazer is so amazingly good! I need that in my life ASAP. Hope you had a great weekend Gina!
